PRO TIP: Always follow the food safety golden rule when handling Doogans... WHEN IN DOUBT, THROW IT OUT.

To maintain the best texture and safety, we recommend using one of these three industry-standard methods for defrosted meat. • FRIDGE: Place a package of Doogans on a plate on the bottom shelf of your fridge. The product will be ready to serve in a day or two without ever compromising its integrity. This is the gold standard of safety as the product will never reach a dangerous temperature. • • COLD WATER: Submerge the vacuum sealed package in a bowl of cold tap water and change the water every 20 minutes until the product is defrosted. This method requires more work but allows you to serve Doogans in an hour or two. • • MICROWAVE: Place the vacuum sealed package on a microwave safe plate and use the "defrost" setting. This is our least favorite method but in a pinch it will get the job done in a fraction of the time! PRO TIP: Always check the temperature of meals before serving! Dogs can be impatient but eating a meal too cold can cause a belly ache and eating meals too hot can cause burns.
